Sobre el tema del origen del
maiz, escrito en articulo reciente del Sr. Antxon Aguirre, quiero
añadir que en la ciudad de Mitchell, Dakota del Sur, America
del Norte, se encuentra el Palacio de Maiz. Esto es una estructura
construida en su fachada solamente de maiz, con unas representaciones
de cultura local y con un diseño arquitectónico
que varía cada año. El edificio es muy visitado
por gente de todo el país y cuenta con pabellones interiores,
tiendas y demás. Está en el centro urbano. En sus
inmediaciones hay un lago donde cerca de sus orillas se han descubierto
varios atlatl, utilizados aquí por los nativos americanos
de hace varios cientos de años.

I recently wrote a thesis on
the Basque Country which focused on the role language has played
in the development and manifestation of Basque nationalism. I
am currently working with a production company which may be interested
in producing a documentary on the issue. Currently, we are trying
to find funding sources for this project. Do you ever fund or
give grants for these types of projects? If so, how should we
go about applying for a grant? If not, would you have any suggestions
for finding funding sources (government, Basque organizations,
private individuals, educational institutions...)?

Permitaseme una pequena aclaracion
al articulo
sobre SOKATIRA del Sr. Laxaro Azcune.
SOKA no es palabra celta aunque
presente rasgos concretos. Todo lo
contrario, anda muy arraigada en lo vasco. Asi tenemos o teniamos SU KE que viene de SU =
FUEGO y KE = HUMO. De alli se le dio el nombre a la serpiente
o SUGE. Cuando se ata a alguien se le conoce como un SUJETO,
asi como al SUJETADOR, la SUJECION, ETC. En vasco esta el SUGAAR
o serpiente macho, de donde sale la palabra inglesa sugar o azucar.
Una SUGERENCIA es algo que va
atado o unido al tema tratado, que espero que asi lo fue.

- Kaixo lagunok: Necesito pediros
una información. Para un asunto escolar, me gustaría
que me indicaraís lo siguiente: CUAL FUE EL PROCESO DE
LA PERDIDA DE LOS FUEROS VASCOS. No sé si tendréis
algun apunte o al menos os agradecería una referencia
para poder dar esta respuesta a quien me la ha solicitado. No
sé si habrá algún libro donde venga así:
"Proceso de pérdida... ". Me he enimado a preguntaros
esto pues, siempre que os he pedido algo, me lo habéis
solucionado muy bien. Eskarrik asko.
